Joanne Vlecides Schroeder - President
Since establishing the firm Vlecides-Schroeder Associates, Inc. (VSA) in 1988, Joanne has provided consulting services on many major transportation, urban planning, and transit projects for numerous public and private institutions, as well as major corporations in Chicago and suburban villages. Additionally, she has led the firm in developing and implementing transit systems for smaller communities in Illinois and Wisconsin. Joanne has over 30 years of senior management experience working for the public sector in transportation and urban planning issues at local, regional, and federal agencies. Douglas Schroeder, FAIA
Doug joined the firm in March 1991 to direct design of stations and facilities for the RTA Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) projects. He has been a practicing architect for more than 40 years, and his broad experience includes: multi-residential and mixed-use projects; air-rights developments; marinas; and transportation facilities such as airports, transit facilities, and pedestrian/bike paths. Thomas Donalek, AIA
Thomas has been associated with the firm since 1991 when he joined the firm as a student intern. His association in a permanent capacity began in 1996 when he completed his architecture studies. Ryan Ruehle
Ryan Ruehle, a Planner with Vlecides-Schroeder Associates, Inc. (VSA), holds a Master’s of Urban Planning and Policy degree with a concentration in Urban Transportation from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), College of Urban Planning and Public Affairs. Since joining the firm in September 2008, Ryan has worked on a variety of transportation projects.
